Ev at the Bev takes place in “the Bev”—a hotel inspired by the feeling of places like the Beverly Hills Hotel, but reimagined as a world entirely its own.
The Bev is not a real location. It operates as a child-scaled version of a luxury hotel—where everything is slightly heightened, more playful, and open to interpretation. Hallways become paths to explore, rooms become stages, and everyday moments turn into small adventures.
At the center is a young girl moving through this environment with confidence and curiosity. She isn’t being guided through the space—she’s engaging with it, testing it, and making it her own. The tone balances structure and imagination: polished surroundings, but flexible rules.
The story relies on environment rather than heavy plot. The setting does the work—creating a consistent world children can step into, recognize, and expand in their own minds.
The back of the book includes built-in activities, reinforcing that the world of the Bev doesn’t end when the story does.
